HOUSE IN SANTA TERESA RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil By SPBR Angelo Bucci



This house is located on one of the highest points of the hill of Santa Teresa. It is among the quota level of 100m, along the street from the tram, and goes up to 125m elevation. The design of the pre-existence of two levels in the 120m and 125m levels.

Two blocks aligned, arranged on the level at the elevation of 120m, house and home office. Open to the east and west,it enjoys the gardens and allow cross ventilation. The coverage of these volumes offer an open space to complement the upper level, 125m.
The living room, disposed above the plateau at elevation 125m, offers amazing panoramic views: on one hand, the center of Rio de Janeiro and the other, the Sugar Loaf and Guanabara Bay.

The 125m level is completely open. It defines the space between the living room and bedrooms. The kitchen is the only indoor environment at this level, conceived as a meeting place, connected to the pool and garden.
This house, exploded on the ground, spreads out across the landscape of Rio.
