Pearson Trent Residence, Los Angeles, California | Escher GuneWardena Architecture



An extensive remodel of a modest post war bungalow in West Los Angeles engulfs the original L shape plan with a new shell forming a large rectangular mass.
The placement of rooms along the perimeter defines a large open living/kitchen area, which gradually expands horizontally and vertically to meet easterly view of the city.
A glass wall in the public zone slides into a pocket, transforming the room into an open air living space on the view side of the house.
