Penthouse Design | Mica House | London | Stanton Williams
A new steel-framed structure was placed on the top floor of a warehouse to create an L-shaped apartment, open along its entire length onto a terrace with a full-height glazed wall. This extends the inside out and outside in, and allows for 360º degree city views. We tracked the path of the sun from morning to night and from season to season to select the optimum position for the apartment and harness the flow of light, giving a living space constantly changed and coloured by nature.........more

Penthouse Design | Hedonistic Rooftop Penthouses | Copenhagen | Denmark | JDSA
The hedonistic rooftop is reflected in a playground with shock-absorbing surface and a playful suspension bridge, a green hill with varying accommodation backed by real grass and durant vegetation, a viewing platform, an outdoor kitchen and barbecue, and a more quiet wooden deck. We seek to optimize and fully exploit the situations the site has to offer, and thereby design a potential for the future exploitation of the roof to the delight of all the co-op’s residents. Usually a roof defines a final measure of any construction. We imagine cities where people will be the last measure of the environment.......more

Ludwig Penthouse | San Francisco | California | Craig Steely Architecture


Located in the penthouse of a concrete high-rise on Aquatic Park. The original 4-bedroom/4-bath penthouse was a rabbit's warren of confusing rooms. In our re-design, rooms were combined and uses were re-assigned to allow the occupants to take advantage of the views looking north and south and the movement of the sun through out the day. Materials used are clear and etched 1/2" glass, slabs of Black walnut, hand made mosaic tile walls, and gun blued steel.....more

Penthouse in Plaza Cataluña, Barcelona, Spain By YLAB Architects


YLAB Architects sent us this penthouse project.
Interior refurbishment of a penthouse in the very center of Barcelona.
The apartment was conceived to be used as a weekend apartment and includes the level of confort of a hotel. All electro appliances are built in the special furniture that can be closed after use.
Design and renovation of a 140m2 apartment in a monument protected old building in Barcelona's Gothic center. Centuries-old walls and Contemporary design create an atmosphere that meets all requirements.
