Brick Weave House, Chicago,USA | Studio Gang



The walled garden for the house is created by means of subtraction. Removal of the former floor and roof in a section of this existing structure left three sheltering walls to temper winds and frost. A warmer ambient temperature is created within the space permitting plants to be grown that would not survive in the natural climate.
