Villa Trapman gives the impression of consisting of two floors extending the full length of the building. The floor-to-ceiling sliding windows regularly placed above one another on the long, northeastern side of the building seem to be the incontrovertible proof of that. In fact, however, only half of the building consists of two floors. In the other (studio) half, four sliding windows as high as the building offer an almost unobstructed view of the majestic polder landscape which the villa adjoins.....more
