It is the tenement house where 8 households live in.
There are a lot of losses to this building like a stone pit. It is it with the way of living to go back and forth in the average if the outside is out of it as for the ratio widely than the room of the floor space that I included to the roof terrace. The innumerable outside space possesses a power supply and water service in the exclusive possession space of each dwelling unit. But there is not the clear function as the room. By the device of the house hand, a parking lot, an atelier, a garden, dining, the gallery becomes the favorite space.
I want to think about relations with environment surrounding a person with a building and the person through a building. here, I regard the neighbor who lives in the same place as nature and a city and a similar environmental part, Because there is a neighbor, I thought about an amusement and discovery........more

Tussen de Lanen | Doorwerth | Netherlands | Mecanoo

The Tussen de Lanen Neighbourhood is located close to the centre of Doorwerth, a village not far from Arnhem. On this site in the 1960s, apartment flats were built in strict grid patterns. Mecanoo's inspiration for the new urban plan took its cue from the beautiful 20-metre high trees and two historic grave mounds on the site. The old neighbourhood has been transformed into a sloping park landscape with meandering footpaths and children's playgrounds dotted throughout and 250 dwellings. The residential scheme for Dockside comprises nine apartments and 30 three and four storey townhouses, based on Crest standard unit types.

The two terraces provide the transition from the more urban environment of the East Quay to the Ashlands development on the other side of the river.
This scheme features six three-storey townhouses and four two-bedroom apartments. The townhouses continue the Dockside D1 development (also by Stride Treglown) and the small apartment block adds a focal end point and forms a bold landmark with its higher balcony element.

This scheme involved demolition of the existing Esplanade Hotel and the construction of 42 residential apartments and approximately 420 sqm of retail at ground level.
The concept was developed from nautical and seaside references intended to re-invigorate the decaying seafront.
The bowing copper façade is the dominant construction feature and is flanked by a natural stone corner tower, obliquely rendered balconies, and zinc clad duplex apartments topping the building.

Apartments are configured to focus on the dramatic sea views and are accessed by lift and open walkway to the rear of the building. An open informal court has been constructed to the rear area for the enjoyment of residents.....more

The Tomas Building is located in a residential neighborhood in Santiago facing the Isabel Montt plaza in the District of Vitacura.
The investment operation consists in an atypical operation; instead of selling apartments sell square meters. Each owner buy the square meters for develop by order the apartment for the program of they needs… a family favored a big terrace with plaza views and a habitable roof with a pool and views to the north hills; other owner choose a protected garden as extension for his apartment; a third owner, a single men get a small loft and this way each apartment have a different character.
With a rectangular floor plan, it consists of three complete floors and a fourth floor which is set back allowing the use of the roofs as terraces and swimming pools.
The volume of the building contains a central void which is the entrance space to the apartments from the center of the building. A space bathed in natural light from above and activated by the horizontal circulations on each level in the manner of balconies.
Seven apartments conform the building with the special condition being that they are all different, both regarding their programs and their square footage. Each apartment has at least two levels and each one is accessed through a double height space.
The building in floor and in section is a succession of inserted spaces.
The volume of the building does not recognize the limits of each apartment on the exterior. It displays itself as a composition assembled on the basis of adding different opaque planes and voids of: windows, terraces, openings, beams, etc. that talk about the interior space.
The services zones were distribute in the interior of the building being patios as the manner of cracks of light and ventilation. For the exterior appear only windows and terraces of the habitable zones of each apartment.
The only element that unifies all the apartments is the materiality and the terminations. Only one white material reinforces the idea of a unique volume. The interiors also are entirely white that permits more luminosity, reflecting the light. Doors, windows and carpentries were in cedar wood. The white and the wood were the unify elements.....more

YLAB Architects sent us this penthouse project.

Interior refurbishment of a penthouse in the very center of Barcelona.
The apartment was conceived to be used as a weekend apartment and includes the level of confort of a hotel. All electro appliances are built in the special furniture that can be closed after use.

Design and renovation of a 140m2 apartment in a monument protected old building in Barcelona's Gothic center. Centuries-old walls and Contemporary design create an atmosphere that meets all requirements.

Wherein the owner eats, sleeps, throws dinner parties, and manufactures bespoke wallpaper.

Peer through the Flavor Paper building’s ground-level glass façade on Pacific Street in Cobble Hill, and you may see a pair of 52-foot-long vacuum tables churning out reams of brightly colored Mylar and pony-skin wallpaper. This is where Jon Sherman, who moved from New Orleans to Brooklyn last summer, designs, fabricates, and markets hand-screened wall coverings for projects ranging from Lenny Kravitz’s house in New Orleans to Frank Gehry’s IAC Building. (“We did holographic wallpaper for their executive garage,” Sherman says. “Clearly prerecession.”) From the outside looking in, you might assume that the rest of the building (designed by Jeff Kovel of Skylab Architecture) is taken up by wallpaper-making machinery. But you would be mistaken. Sherman and a couple of employee-tenants actually live on the floors above, with the boss enjoying a classic bachelor lifestyle (D.J. booth, roof deck, floating beds) inside a retro-futuristic penthouse with the city’s easiest commute.

Architect's Statement

The Concept
To provide additional floor area for an upper level bedroom/study space and new bathroom with the lower level acting as the main living space.Inspired by the ‘raumplan’concept – designing continuous spaces for living rather than regularly divided floors with limited flexibility – the house has minimal doors and walls. Incorporating pool views and making it part of the interior, using reflection and raised planes – new surfaces at the rear of the space are reflective to enhance the ambivalence between interior and exterior.

Single Family Apartment | Amsterdam | i29

A single-family apartment for four people situated in a stately building in southern Amsterdam is the latest project by i29. The project makes use of laser cut panels in the kitchen and other areas of the apartment for a dynamic mix of open and closed areas.

The original structure was partitioned with rooms for staff, a double hall and long hallways with lots of doors, all of which has now been transformed into a spacious, transparent dwelling full of light and air.

MCSM Apartment, Barcelona, Spain | Cadaval and Sola-Morales

Located in a typical chamfer-corner of the Barcelona’s Cerdà urban block, the apartment has spectacular views to the Sagrada Familia, the sea and the new Barcelona’s towers, and great orientation. The original apartment responded to the characteristic chamfered layout, with several rooms located in the front façade and a few linear smaller spaces next to an interior patio. The project aims to transform the previous layout by opening to the light, and therefore clearing up the space in the façade. By creating a double ring of public spaces parallel to the front area, and clarifying the organization of rooms and services next to the patio by rethinking the corridor, the light, views and clearness become the major protagonist of the apartment. The services are all organized on a solid blackboard object that operates as the node between the public and private spaces.

This apartment (located in the historical center of Rome) has been completely reorganized and modified in the interior distribution and style. The use of warm colors and materials had the purpose to create a cosy environment while opening the space and emphasizing the ancient building's existing structure. The lighting design played a very important role, because the apartment itself does not have a generous natural light. The recessed lighting spots and the use of walls that emphasize the space's depth, opened the volumes and underlined the main furniture elements.

This apartment situated in the historical center of Rome, has been completely streamlined the internal distribution and changed in style. Using warm colors and materials with a strong personality, created a welcoming environment that opened the space and developed the structure of the ancient palace. Artificial light has played a key role as the apartment has a generous natural lighting. The use of recessed lighting and fifth by the significant structural effects, has broadened the perception of space and enhanced design components and furnishing more important.
